About Us
PFLAG Greater Orlando is a group of parents, families, friends, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We work to help change attitudes and create an environment of understanding so that our LGBTQ+ family members and friends can live in a world that is safe and inclusive.
Our local PFLAG chapter was started in 1992 and continues to support, educate, and advocate for LGBTQ+ parents, family, friends, allies, and persons.

Our Mission
Greater Orlando PFLAG’s purpose shall be to support the mission and charter of our national parent organization: PFLAG, Inc.; promoting the health and well-being of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) persons, their families, friends, and allies through:
- Support for families, allies and people who are LGBTQ
- Education for ourselves and others about the unique issues and challenges facing people who are LGBTQ
- Advocacy in our communities to change attitudes and create policies and laws that achieve full equality for people who are LGBTQ
PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
