Learn More About PFLAG Greater Orlando
PFLAG Greater Orlando is a group of parents, families, friends, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We work to help change attitudes and create an environment of understanding so that our LGBTQ+ family members and friends can live in a world that is safe and inclusive.
Our local PFLAG chapter was started in 1992 and continues to support, educate, and advocate for LGBTQ+ parents, family, friends, allies, and persons.
Provide Support – PFLAG Greater Orlando facilitates 3 separate monthly in-person (1 hybrid in-person/virtual). We also provide periodic programs for special topics and events.
Offer Education – As part of our support groups, we provide education on a variety of topics relevant to the time of year and to our local families. We also share special programs hosted by other organizations, like suicide prevention training and name change clinics.
Advocate – PFLAG Greater Orlando strives to partner with other local and National organizations to educate key decision-makers about the issues that affect our loved ones and families, and to teach others how to use their voices to amplify our efforts toward a more equitable, and just world for the LGBTQ+ community.
